Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s opposition to impeaching President Donald Trump won’t stop a House vote on the issue, as Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green intends to force one again like he twice did when Republicans held the majority.
“I’m going to bring it the floor of the House again,” Green said Tuesday morning on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal.” He declined to say when he plans to take action, saying, “The acid test is one that does not carry with it a specific date.” …
Green’s comments to C-SPAN about forcing another vote on impeaching Trump — the first with Democrats in the majority — comes after Pelosi told the Washington Post in an interview published Monday that she is “not for impeachment.” However, Green had already committed in a statement early last month that he would trigger a third House vote on the matter.
The Washington Post fact-checked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s statements that President Trump has not transferred money to combat the nation’s opioid crisis and gave her three Pinocchios for the “highly misleading” remarks.
In a tweet on March 8, the freshman Democratic lawmaker criticized Trump for wanting to divert money via a national emergency declaration to build a wall on the southern border but did not take the same action over opioid overdoses.
“Amount President Trump has transferred from other agencies to fund his ‘Build the Wall’ Emergency: $10s of millions, & has identified billions more. Amount he’s transferred to address the Opioid National Emergency: $0,” she wrote in the tweet that was liked and retweeted nearly 50,000 times.
Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet was in response to a posting from C-SPAN that showed her questioning James Carroll, the White House director of drug policy, and linking the crisis at the border with the opioid epidemic.
“So, we’ve got two emergencies, one is treated with an actual action and the other is just to raise awareness,” C-SPAN quoted her as saying.
The newspaper’s fact-checker said she incorrectly compared two different situations.
Brian Kilmeade just said (About 10 min ago) That John Roberts From Fox news is the most connected guy around D.C. and he has word it could Drop as soon as today or Tomorrow. He said John Robert will never say that unless he actually has info. Question is When.
Actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin were among more than 40 people charged in a nationwide college admissions cheating scandal that involved paying up to $6 million to place their children into elite universities, according to court records revealed Tuesday.
The scam — which involved placing students in top colleges such as Yale, Georgetown, Stanford, University of Southern California, UCLA and the University of Texas — was run by a man in California who helped parents get their children into the schools through bribes, court documents unsealed in Boston showed.
The look of hundreds of gallons of fuel used to de-ice the lefts wet dream of green energy.
This is one of many great photographs by Bartletti. His collection is featured at The Eye of The Photography and examines the poverty and migration in South America. What stuck me most about the photo’s, other than his exceptional talent, is when they photo’s were taken (2000). We have been fighting this battle for far too long folks.
Who are these people? Do they believe that their shenanigans will win the day? When they are shunned, what further outrageous spectacle will they throw in our face? Who listens to there squeal?
Legal Insurrection is running an article that touches on how Socialism has just failed in Finland. It seems that the utopian paradise collapsed under the weight of health care. Poor Bernie, he is/was holding out the Nordic nations as an exemplar of what great good Socialism is/was.
The government of Finland collapsed Friday due to the rising cost of universal health care and the prime minister’s failure to enact reforms to the system.
Prime Minister Juha Sipila and the rest of the cabinet resigned after the governing coalition failed to pass reforms in parliament to the country’s regional government and health services,.
With the collapse of Finland’s government over its inability to financially support its massive socialist agenda, Bernie will undoubtedly do the same thing he always does when socialism (or communism) fails: ignore, obfuscate, and deflect.
After all, for all his big, shiny promises of “free” everything for everyone, he still refuses to address how this largess will be paid for.

Democratic Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) defended his colleague Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) by reasoning that she is higher than Jews on the pyramid of intersectionality. In an interview with The Hill on Wednesday, Clyburn trivialized Holocaust survivors when he implied that Omar’s time in a Kenyan refugee camp outweighed the experiences of Jews.
Clyburn is the third-highest ranking Democrat in the House, who has shared a stage with the notorious anti-semite Louis Farrakhan. According to Clyburn’s logic, it’s OK to hate Jews if you rank higher than them on the hierarchy of victimhood. Omar is a Muslim woman who was born in Somalia and had to flee violence in her country, so Democrats believe her hate speech should be excused, while Holocaust survivors should sit quiet.
This party will end up imploding. Each shrill voice is louder and more vile than the last.
Here is another way to look at the continuum (hat tip to Chuck for providing)
