The Casual Survey

Why on this God’s earth would someone have a twitter handle of ‘catturd’? That said, he/she/it makes a good point about viewership, as folk tend to tune to the network that supports their political view.

What most folk don’t know (and the news corporations do) is that the networks leverage this tendency to emotionally hook their audience. They trade in emotions. Crafting messages, typically outrage, that create a strong emotional response. The emotional response is physiological and the body becomes dependent on the chemical response. So much for what you thought was free will.

The justness or righteousness (wokeness) of their position on an issue is carefully managed, as keeping you emotionally involved requires that they have the appearance of a moral thought leader. Should that facade fall their audience will quickly fall away as well.

AOC Manipulation

The NY Times published a great article on AOC and how she manipulates the environment to set herself up as a victim. I snatched the below from their pages. Full article here.

It’s pretty impressive of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, playing the victim card in a fight she started.

The flap arises from the recent House passage of the Senate’s emergency border-funding bill, without voting on lefty-favored amendments. AOC and three other radical freshmen women (Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley) voted against it — and AOC’s office started smearing the moderates who’d demanded action.

Specifically, AOC Chief of Staff Saikat Chakrabarti (in a since-deleted tweet) accused such Democrats of propping up a system that “fuels a racist ideology.”

That prompted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to hold a closed-door conference meeting where she warned, “You got a complaint? You come talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is OK.”

She also spoke to The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd, noting of AOC & Co.: “All of these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world . . . But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.”

Whereupon AOC whined to The Washington Post about Pelosi’s “explicit singling out of new elected women of color.”

Hello? The speaker was “singling out” the four members who were playing this specific game, and waxing indignant that other Democrats listen to their own constituents.

Emblematic of our Times

I’m not going to wear out the the Epstein story line just yet. I did want to note that the world in which we now live is so easily manipulated that our rapid access to information is negated by the manipulation of that information. The velocity at which history can be modified and truth supplanted with falsehoods is amazing. The tweet below is emblematic of our times. Tread carefully on the interubes my friends.

Can You See How That Works?

The snap above was ripped from the leading news headline on Yahoo. Notice that unless you knew before hand how events actually occurred, you’d think that Stephanie Grisham got into a brawl while trying to eject reporters. Sneaky little trick they pulled there.

The Beginning of the End

The constant screech by our left-wing-media betters has been informing us of impending downfall of the President since the day he took office. You would have thought that the dems would be exhausted by now; apparently not. These mindless followers are like a demented Charlie Brown character that cannot decline one more try at a Lucy held football.

How Bad Yahoo Has Gotten

Here is a rundown on what articles Yahoo is running with on our President today. Never, never is there an article that is fair or balanced on this administration. Is it any wonder that folk begin to believe their drivel?
