Avoid the Folly

As seen, and snatched from the American Digest

Which mainstream ideas pose the greatest threat ….. Global capitalism, of course. Individual materialism, obviously. But more and more a sort of Laissez-Faire Nihilism, the one exemplified by clever young people “Who wants to have children in a world going to hell?”, and interestingly, even though they call themselves Progressives and outwardly profess undying faith in humanity (despite all the problems they cause and the distresses they must be able to see in their own communities), the main culprit of this are the Globalists themselves.

There are no more rabid doom-mongers than the “save the rain forest” crowd. I forgot who said it, but “forget the war on terrorism, the most important war of our time is the war between the sexes, a war that we are all losing.” In a way I agree, in the way that the hidden enemy is always the one able to inflict the most damage: Feminism is the greatest danger to our civilization. By twisting facts, by a concentrated propaganda effort, the image has been planted into the minds of women that history was sexist, that the church was anti-women and that women can be…better than men.

In reality it is the couple, the man and the woman together, who make up the basic bond of humanity. The day we finally give up on this idea of love, is the day our civilization is doomed forever. “Love is reactionary”, and “Progressivism is centrifugal”

Soft Soil

There was a saying coined during the Roman conquests that went something like: Soft soil makes for poor warriors.  I have always thought that this meant that given a choice of professions. soldier or farmer, the choice was very much influenced by the environment.

History has a way of repeating and I expect that those on the left– the liberals–the feminists– see the world very much as consisting of ‘soft soil’. In their minds they can reduce all of life’s threats with a tweet or a call for outrage. I expect that the real world will one day will intrude on their fantasy and the call will go out for the saving graces of those who are toxic and masculine.

I really don’t know how we slipped into the girly-man society we have become, perhaps we lost sight of the very real dangers that crowd our shores and lurk in our institutions. When that evil is pounding down the door I suppose we’ll be able to retrieve our balls from the jar the left has asked us to keep them in and save the world once again.

The Arrogance of Liberals

The arrogance of liberalism and feminists proceeds from the belief that they are more evolved than others. Because they think they speak on behalf of all woke folk, and anyone who doesn’t agree with them and their point of view, anyone who is pro-life, pro-our president, or pro-this administration are very, very stupid. Others therefore don’t deserve to have an opinion or voice.

In their minds, through their arrogance, they believe that they’re the only ones who really have the right to have a point of view, and that they speak on behalf of everybody.

They can’t be argued with and they cannot be reasoned with. My suggestion is that only ridicule will slow the march of this insanity.

An Old Vision: Aldous Huxley

” If you want to preserve your power indefinitely, you have to get the consent of the ruled”

– Aldous Huxley

Mike Wallace (remember him?) interviewed Huxley more than 60 years ago (1958) where he explained his vision of a future globalist/new world order nightmare.

In his book Brave New World, Huxley described an evil future where the entire world would live under dictatorship. This interview in 1958 foretells a future when presidential hopefuls use television to rise to power, technology takes over, drugs grab hold, and frightful dictatorships rule us all.

A Nation of Minutemen

“Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.”

– John F. Kennedy

Evil is Real. California of Course

Meet Arturo Martinez, a registered sex offender with surgically implanted horns in his head. He’s been arrested for trying to lure a 17-year-old girl, along with other women, into his home.

Police said he used a fake name and disguised his voice to make himself sound like a woman.

He is also accused of contacting babysitting, cleaning, taxi, estate agents and delivery services in an effort to lure women.

Never Too Late To Learn

While surfing the other day I found the following ‘news’ article on one of the many sites I stumbled across. So I followed it just to see what was behind the door.

Turns out there is a tremendous number (well beyond 600) of courses available on line for free. Keep in mind that the courses are free, not the diploma or the certificates . Given that I already have my Bachelor’s and two Master’s, not to mention that I have absolutely no intention of reentering the workforce, I could drink from this well free of cost. Here’s the link to the ‘600 courses’ site.

So, the link will take you to the article. The article list courses that are provided on several different platforms. If you were to drill down on each platform you’ll find that it offers courses far in excess of 600. For instance, I wanted to learn more about photography. I found it on the ‘600 courses’ article, followed it to the ‘Coursea’ site, and then found that Coursea (here) offers more than 2700 courses. Note that you get past the costs they indicate by selecting the ‘Audit course’ option. Other links on the ‘600 courses’ article lead to platforms other than Coursea..

Fans will be pleased to know that I will be taking English and Grammar courses in due time.

The Death of Free Speech

Free speech is increasingly imperiled as nations around the world turn to authoritarianism, which comes packaged as everything from iron-fisted dictatorial rule to coercive “progressivism.”

One thing every brand of authoritarianism has in common is speech codes. Dissenting ideas dilute authority, so they must be suppressed. We should be thankful for the free speech that remains, and rise from our Thanksgiving tables prepared to fight for it.

Our political speech is soggy with endless calls to “fight” for various “rights,” few of which bear any resemblance to what America’s founders considered to be inalienable rights. One important clue to their thinking is that rights were seen as something an unjust government could take away from citizens by force, not something benevolent governments present to citizens as a gift.

Freedom of speech was codified as the first of those rights because preserving the others is impossible without the ability to speak up and organize. We might reflect on the importance of religious freedom as the very first component of the First Amendment because inalienable rights are impossible to understand without acknowledging a power higher than the state from which those rights descend. Once the concept of rights is understood, safeguarding the ability to discuss them and organize peacefully to protect them is vital.

Sex Uber Alles, and Definitely Don’t Tell the Parents

A Florida school district allowed a self-described transgender female student regular access to the boys’ locker room, with no advance warning to the boys or their parents. School administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room. When he refused to “knowingly place himself in a position to observe a minor female in the nude or otherwise in a state of undress,” administrators told him “he will be transferred to another school as discipline for ‘not doing your job in the locker room.’”  Full story here

iGen, In Constant Search for Safe Space

The iGen is the generation born in 1995 and later, and they’re the first generation to spend their entire adolescence in the age of the smartphone. They spend a lot more time online, on social media and playing games, and they spend less time on non-screen activities like reading books, sleeping or seeing their friends in face-to-face interactions.

Those children are growing up more slowly. By the age of 18, they are less likely to have a driver’s license, to work in a paying job, to go out on dates, to drink alcohol or to go out without their parents compared to teens in previous generations.

So iGen’s probably the safest generation in history and they like that idea of feeling safe.
