The Ongoing Chit-Show

These last several years seem like they were nothing more than the sad, slow decent of our country into the cesspool. Until recently I had no idea just how far we’d fallen.

Others believe we have not fallen at all. The see the demise of freedoms and liberty as tyranny’s coin of passage. The price of admission if we are to achieve ‘world peace’.

Here is an interesting ‘organizational’ chart that I saw while poking around. It’s a little flawed, but does introduce an interesting way to view how freedom crushing policies can emerge. (have emerged?)

If we can imagine the membership’ of the Policy Makers is fluid, then the rest of the diagram is much more representative of reality.

A full sized graphic is here.

Are You Friggen Kidding Me?

The Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) in Texas is using its own armed agents to arrest parents who speak out against the school board’s policies, according to Christopher Rufo in the City Journal.

Two fathers, Jeremy Story and Dustin Clark, had spoken out against the school board’s “alleged corruption and school officials’ hostility toward parents.” In August, while “ producing evidence that the board had covered up an alleged assault by the superintendent, Hafedh Azaiez, against a mistress,” Story, a minister, was cut off mid-sentence as Azaiez ordered armed officers to remove him from the premises.

RRISD has it’s own police force, Rufo said, explaining: “with a three-layer chain of command, patrol units, school resource officers, a detective, and a K-9 unit.” And only a few days after Clark’s removal from school board premises, the school district “sent police officers to the homes of both men [Story and Clark], arrested them, and put them in jail on charges of ‘disorderly conduct with intent to disrupt a meeting.’” They were released the next morning.

On one side, the Biden administration, public school bureaucrats, and their armed agents; on the other, parents and families who oppose school closures, mask mandates, critical race theory and corruption.

There’s a storm brewing

Requiem For A Nation

I’ve been off-line for a little more than a month.  I didn’t post so often and so wildly that a well deserved break was warranted and, no, it’s not a swarm of doldrums that held me at bay.  I’ve been off-line in deep thought about the future of mankind.  The good news for readers is that I don’t do the ‘deep thoughts worthy of lengthy narration’ type of thought, I’m more the ‘let’s just jump to the bottom line:  we’re fucked’ type of deep thinker.

Shit is rapidly going sideways and there is not a damn thing that can be done about it.  This nation alone could have halted the world-wide slide into tyranny and subjugation.  Coulda, woulda, shouda be damned, we’ve crossed the tipping point as a nation and will now never be able to recapture the moment when rights and freedoms outweighed the ‘good of the masses’.

The time of man’s reign has ended, now comes the time of the gimmedats.  The gimmedat era is the precursor to thousands of years of oppression.  The endless march of technology ensures the oppression will be both enforceable and complete.

It seems appropriate to do a little fiddlin as Rome burns.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I’ll never look into your eyes again

Can you picture what will be?
So limitless and free
Desperately in need
Of some stranger’s hand
In a desperate land

Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

There’s danger on the edge of town
Ride the King’s Highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby
Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake, he’s long, seven miles
Ride the snake
He’s old and his skin is cold
The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here and we’ll do the rest
The blue bus is calling us
The blue bus is calling us
Driver, where you taking us?

The killer awoke before dawn
He put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door
And he looked inside
“Father?” “Yes, son?” “I want to kill you”
“Mother? I want to…”

Come on baby, take a chance with us
Come on baby, take a chance with us
Come on baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Of the blue bus, on the blue bus, on the blue bus

(Note:  I shit-canned the 19 Fu** on 17 lines)

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
But you’ll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

This is the end

Growing Ugly

American Thinker founder Thomas Lifson on Thursday (14th):

It is news to almost nobody who reads American Thinker that a political witch hunt is underway. Parties in and out of government are looking for excuses to suppress and destroy voices that oppose the left.

Because AT lacks the ability to monitor comments in real time, and because our position that comments are a forum, not something we publish, is being called into question, we can no longer publish comments.

We take this action with a heavy heart.

Yesterday (15th). Deputy Editor Andrea Widburg gave this as a follow-up:

Yesterday, we announced that we are closing comments at American Thinker. We immediately received a couple of hundred very unhappy, angry, and sometimes insulting emails about that decision. Without divulging why we made that decision, here are a few points to ponder.

First, 90% of the assumptions in the emails were wrong. This meant that a lot of people were theorizing in advance of their data. America is currently deeply destabilized, and things are happening that most people can’t imagine. Sometimes, those things hit close to home.

Second, it’s lovely that many of you came here for the conversation in the comments. To have the comments abruptly turned off was the equivalent of our breaking up your party, the great party at which all the guests were interesting and delightful. We appreciate what an unpleasant shock and disappointment that was, and we hate to be the mean parent who broke up the party, but, again, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Third, this site is a labor of love for everyone involved, especially for its founder, Thomas Lifson. If you imagine that he would ever authorize such a difficult decision when there were other choices to be made, well, you don’t know Thomas. All of us who work here agree that the choice was binary: shut down the comments or shut down the site. Or to use an analogy, amputate the limb or watch the patient die. Looked at from that perspective, there really was no choice.

They conspired to, and were successful in, taking down the President. They much more easily did the same to Parler. Small independent sites, the only remaining voices of opposition, are getting their asses kicked while armed troops march in the streets of the capital.

Censorship: It’s Getting Ugly Out There

Spineless Bastard(s)

Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) has apologized to Black Oklahomans for challenging Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory, saying he did not realize his actions would be seen as “casting doubt on the validity of votes” in predominantly Black cities like Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit.

If nothing else Trumps exodus has illuminated the cesspool that is DC and the slimy creatures that haunt that swamp. This ass joins that growing list of human filth that have sold out their nation and licked the boots of the ass clowns that are peddling the white man bad narrative. All this to gain the favor of socialists and would be tyrants.

Great, Just Great

These are the folk that will now not only chart the path of the nation but also choose the topics and set the tone for whatever discourse and banter appear in the public square.

We now all must pay homage to the new wokeness. It does not matter if we couldn’t care less, we will be made to care. Blocking out their blather or ignoring their obviously false pronouncements will not be tolerated. If the truth de jour is that 2+2=5 then you will be required to pronounce their truth on the matter. That folks is how Black Live Matter and all lives don’t came into being.

They are about to visit judgement on how well you align to their view of the world. God have mercy on the poor soul that fails to bend a knee.

Our Oh-Shit Moment

I don’t think that at this time last week anyone really thought our society would go so south so quickly.  The coms channels are quashing speech, truth, ideas.  Virtually every news station in the nation spewing propaganda, purge lists are being drawn up, evil rises.

All the bad shit witnessed in the last week is just the beginning. Once the rush of raw power flows over them every left leaning ass in the country will be demanding retribution for any number of perceived wrongs.  Those demands will fall on welcoming ears.

This is the ‘oh shit’ moment for the country; the great purge nears, history is to be rewritten, wrong-thinkers punished, society restructured.

The world is a dangerous place and more than one adversary would like nothing more than a weakened and vulnerable America.  Their desire to dominate never falters, never fails.  It’s an itch that cannot be scratched.

First Out-Ah-Da Chute | Did You See This Coming?

“As House Speaker, I am proud to announce the creation of the new, bipartisan Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, which will be an essential force in Congressional Democrats’ action to combat the crisis of income and wealth disparity in America.  It is molded after the mission of the Temporary National Economic Committee, founded by President Roosevelt and the Congress after the Great Depression to study and combat the concentration of wealth in America and its role in triggering economic collapse.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is seeking reparations and more for black Americans as a result of slavery.  Yesterday she submitted H.R. 40, the Commission to Study and Develop Reparations Proposals for African Americans Act.  Her goal with the legislation is to study how slavery impacts our country today and to develop a monetary payout.  The commission will explore reparations for black Americans and how to get white folk to apologize for their sins as a part of atonement.

2020 was rough, but at the end of the year we saw hope on the horizon. Will we be as optimistic in December of 2021?

That Hell Called Chicago

It’s really hard for those of us that live in flyover country to understand how it is that folk in the socialist stronghold of Chicago manage to retain any dignity or sense of self worth. You would have thought that the dictatorial mayor and criminal political operatives would have been enough to cause a rational people to rally and rail against the injustice; I guess that’s just not the Chicago way.

Now, that unholy alliance consisting of the ‘aldermen’ and the teachers union have decided that it does not matter if the population wants the schools opened or not, they won’t allow it unless an entire laundry list of conditions are met; not the least of which is ‘increasing equity for students’. The list? Here goes:

  • Establish and promote clear public health criteria and a detailed testing and contact-tracing plan
  • Improve internet access and connection
  • Reduce screen time, especially for younger students
  • Strengthen hybrid-learning plans
  • Give advance notice to social workers, speech therapists and other clinicians about returning students, those opting for remote learning, or both
  • Provide timely and transparent decisions on accommodations, including those under the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Offer clearer guidelines on paid leave
  • Provide regular public updates on the 2,000 employees to be hired for pandemic-related responsibilities

A union attorney has said that members have a right to work in a safe environment. “We expect a lot of members will invoke that right,” he said, adding. “This isn’t a strike. We haven’t called for a strike. We’re not saying we’re refusing to work … (we’re) willing and available to continue working remotely”.

He’s right, it’s not a strike: It’s blackmail.

“If CPS responds by taking draconian measures, that could result in our entire membership deciding they want to engage in a work stoppage.”

Do they have all of the exits blocked in Chicago? Are there any freedom loving people remaining in lefty land?

Irony In The Font

Is it me or does one of the fonts used by these idiots mimic what the Nazi’s used in the 30’s and 40’s. This is exactly what happens when you have an educational system that does not educate.

When Shit Goes South

The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, dismissed the Supreme Court’s ruling against his coronavirus restrictions on religious services.  Sparkles claimed the decision to be “irrelevant.” If you’d like to understand the details there’s a story over at Brietbart that demonstrates his disdain.    About the ‘irrelevancy’, he’s right you know, it became so the moment he dismissed their decision.  He now chooses not to subscribe to our ‘consent of the governed’ social paradigm, once the bedrock of democracy, and in doing so joins the ranks of the ANTIFA and BLM crowd (albeit with different means and motives).

Once the administrative branch of government decides that it will not be bound to decisions rendered by the judicial branch, it’s game over for our form of government.  We once believed that there were three branches of government, and each was dependent on the other for their operation.  The legislative branch could make law, but not enforce law; enforcement belonged to the administrative branch.  The judicial branch’s function, of course, is to interpret and apply the law and provide a mechanism for the settling of disputes. The judicial branch does not make laws nor does it enforce them.

So what happens if this entire checks and balances scheme goes south?  Tyranny.  The moment any powerful person in any one of the three branches assumes powers he is untitled to, and he is not stopped, the whole construct fails. Because there is no way the judicial branch can enforce it’s own decisions, the Gov. of NY has assumed the role of a benevolent master rather than a servant of the people.

This entire ‘stay your ass at home’ fiasco is an exercise in tyranny.  Some would argue that the termination of the Bill of Rights is warranted due to our dire circumstances.  Follow the science they say.  Remember the ‘two weeks to flatten the curve’ appeal?.  Somehow that has progressed to ‘we will absolutely destroy your life and livelihood to compel you to obey’.  It’s not pretty, and now that ideas foundational to a government of/by/for the people have been ripped asunder, it’s about to get a whole lot uglier.

Tyranny (Without Recourse)

South Australia began a lockdown today where everything done outdoors is banned. No exercise, no dog-walking, nothing. Only one person per household will be allowed to leave home each day and only for essential reasons. Everything is closed: schools, universities, cafes and restaurants. No weddings or funerals are permitted. I guess when someone dies their kin is sposta sling them out the door.

It’s a shame these folk gave up all of their weapons, now they have to eat whatever shit sandwich their benevolent leaders toss their way.

Updated at 14:20 Central:

On Friday, embarrassed officials said they would lift the restrictions two days early because they discovered the entire panicked “circuit-breaker” lockdown was triggered by false statements made to contact tracers.

South Australia’s two million residents said they were “shocked” and “angry” when the harsh new lockdown was abruptly imposed after months of zero coronavirus transmissions. A “cluster” of 36 coronavirus infections linked to a returning traveler from the United Kingdom raised concerns from local health officials.

The state went into panic mode when a man who tested positive for Chinese coronavirus told contact tracers he got sick after stopping to buy a pizza at the Woodville Pizza Bar in Adelaide, where several workers had become infected.

Concluding that a highly contagious strain of the virus was leaping from pizzeria employees to their customers, officials declared a six-day lockdown and very literally placed the entire population under house arrest. Only a single person from each household was permitted to leave home and only for a very narrow list of purposes, such as buying groceries. Weddings and funerals were canceled as virtually every business was shut down.

Residents were told they should ask the government for permission to go outside so they could exercise, get a little fresh air, or walk their dogs. To the amazement of both South Australians and observers around the world, the government started telling them “no.

The Well Laid Plans for a Brave New World

U.N. Secretary-General Guterres called on all countries to reject coal and join together in seeking other alternatives. To that end he demanded efforts be made to “use the COVID-19 recovery effort to build green climate-resilient economies and work towards carbon neutrality by 2050.”

“This will, incidentally, also drive the job creation that will reduce inequality and address the air pollution that is choking many Asian cities. I commend the recent decisions of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea committing to net zero emissions,” the veteran Portugese socialist added.

“Countries also need to put a price on carbon and end subsidies for fossil fuels. Our response to the COVID-19 crisis must be aligned with the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals. In all these efforts, you can count on the support of the United Nations system.”

Meanwhile WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab said the coronavirus crisis presents an opportunity for a “new kind of capitalism” and “great reset” of global economies, politics, and societies.

It’s Working | Down 30 Percent

I guess the folk who own major sport franchises, along with the players union that conspire with them, are beginning to take note. The words “shut up and dribble” were not an idle threat from a powerless few, but rather a stern warning from ‘the unwashed masses’.

The Patriots’ narrow Monday Night Football win over the Jets averaged 9.83 million viewers on ESPN, down 30% from last year (Cowboys-Giants: 13.98M) and the network’s least-watched Week 9 contest since 2004 (Browns-Ravens: 7.71M).

Spread the word. Let’s bring them to their bony knees.

A Brave New World

Millions will be ordered not to leave their local areas in a new Covid clampdown in merry old England.

They will be ‘asked’ not to travel outside their local areas and could be banned from mixing with other households, even outdoors, amid fears that some hospitals in the North-West could be overwhelmed within days.

This weekend, Downing Street was briefing mayors and council leaders on the planned three-tier “Local Covid Alert Levels” system of restrictions for England, expected to be announced by Boris Johnson on Monday.

Tyranny runs strong on the continent.

Post Election Blues

The folks over at The Washington Free Beacon had an interesting article on all of the preps being made by the loyal left. Not a pretty picture to be sure. A little snippet below:

The point person for the Fight Back Table, a coalition of liberal organizations planning for a “post-Election Day political apocalypse scenario,” leads a progressive coalition that is part of a massive liberal dark money network

Deirdre Schifeling, who leads the Fight Back Table’s efforts to prepare for “mass public unrest” following the Nov. 3 election, founded and is campaign director for Democracy for All 2021 Action, a project of Arabella Advisors’ Sixteen Thirty Fund. The Sixteen Thirty Fund is a dark money network that provides wealthy donors anonymity as they push large sums into the left’s organizational efforts. The connections suggest that post-election mobilization isn’t just the project of a liberal fringe, but that powerful Democratic Party interest groups are also involved.

The post-Election Day prep follows other doomsday planning scenarios by liberal activists. The Transition Integrity Project released a 22-page document that mentioned “violence” 15 times, “chaos” 9 times, “unrest” 3 times, and “crisis” 12 times. The Fight Back Table, likewise, is preparing for extreme outcomes, including violence and mass mobilization efforts following the elections.

“There are a lot of scary scenarios,” Sean Eldridge, a former Democratic congressional candidate that leads Protect the Results, told the Daily Beast, who first reported on the Fight Back Table’s efforts. “We have to be prepared to mobilize in unprecedented ways.” Protect the Results’ massive coalition also includes other groups involved with the Fight Back Table, including Demos and MoveOn.

The liberal activists are planning for “civil and political” unrest following the elections if Biden does not win in a landslide. According to the Daily Beast, their simulations have included scenarios where Trump’s camp releases “classified documents for political purposes, fueling manufactured rumors,” halting “assets of individuals and groups the president determines to be a threat,” and “restricting internet communications in the name of national security.”

Harlin County, USA

I got the opportunity to see this documentary the other night. I’ve never seen poorer and more destitute group of folk than these coal minors and their family. I’m not much of a union guy, and this show does little to paint the union leadership in a positive light, but I can’t image being pressed into the hell these folk were without taking some desperate action. Anyway, I recommend it. Trailer below:

Now here is the full video if you have a couple of hours to kill:

Patty Loveless has a great tribute to these folk in a video titled “You’ll Never Leave Harlin Alive”. A Great voice :

Really?

This in today’s news.

What ever happened to ” two weeks to flatten the curve”? It seems that some in government have zero awareness of how friggin stupid they look and sound. Or perhaps they only seam stupid when they treat us like we are absolute idiots.

In either case all is not well in our nation: neither in the government nor the population.
