The Wookie has a new book about to be released. In it she whines about The Donald and how he could have placed her family at risk. It reads:

A reporter made the mistake of asking Trump about her assertion. His response is exactly what you would expect from the leader of the free world:
“Oh, Michelle Obama said that, I haven’t seen it, I guess she wrote a book, she got paid a lot of money to write a book, and they always insist you come up with controversial — well, I’ll give you a little controversy back. I’ll never forgive him for what he did to our United States military by not funding it properly,” Trump told reporters on the South Lawn. “It was depleted. And everything was old and tired,” the president continued. “And I came in and I had to fix it, and I’m in the process of spending tremendous amounts of money. So I’ll never forgive him for what he did to our military. I’ll never forgive him for what he did in many other ways, which I’ll talk to you about in the future. What he did, because she talked about safety. What he did to our military made this country very unsafe.”

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) tweeted that House Democrats will “immediately” start investigating why President Trump removed Jeff Sessions as Attorney General on Wednesday, which could be the start of the Democrats’ impeachment efforts against Trump.
He also revealed that Democrats plan to “impeach Kavanaugh” and investigate President Donald Trump for alleged Russian collusion.
The first option, he explained, was to investigate the FBI for how they handled the uncorroborated claims from several women claiming Kavanaugh sexually assaulted them.
“They didn’t even do a half-ass job,” he said. “They didn’t interview 30 witnesses who said ‘Interview me! I’ve got a lot to say!’”
Plan B, is to go after Kavanaugh himself, because “there’s a real indication that Kavanaugh committed perjury.” He claimed Kavanaugh perjured himself when someone asked him “at a committee hearing under oath” about an article in the Atlantic revealing the allegations of a third accuser, and he denied hearing about it. Actually Nadler was referring to a claim that has has been debunked.
Nadler added that Democrats do not plan to carry out their investigation quietly: “You can’t do it quietly because word will get out that the FBI or the committee is reaching out to witnesses,” he said.
The top House Democrat then moved on to the subject of investigating Trump, which he said would be branded as holding Trump “accountable” for his actions when in reality Democrats plan to go “all in” depending on the outcome of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
The Enemy Within
Those who call for more stringent policies regarding the vetting and admission of “refugees” continue to be derided as racist and Islamophobic. Maybe they should just be called rational.
A case in point on the hazards of Islamic extremism is that wonderful American Aws Mohammed Younis al-Jayab
“America will not isolate me from my Islamic duty,” he wrote to a colleague in Syria, according to the charges. “Only death will do us part. My only wish is to see you and start the action.”
He’s been dubbed the “hipster terrorist” for the glamorous social media shots of him posing in snazzy shirts and designer sunglasses, an iced latte in hand and jacket slung casually over a shoulder.
But Aws Mohammed Younis al-Jayab cut a much different profile Wednesday in a federal courtroom in Chicago, where he wore an orange jail jumpsuit and was shackled at the ankles as he pleaded guilty to charges of aiding a terrorist organization and lying to immigration officials.
Al-Jayab, 25, a Palestinian native with ties to Wisconsin, admitted in a plea agreement with prosecutors that he flew from O’Hare International Airport to Turkey in November 2013 and then entered Syria. Once there, he joined Ansar Al-Islam, a U.S.-designated terrorist group that was a precursor to the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, according to his plea agreement.
After al-Jayab returned to the U.S. in 2014 and settled in California, he told immigration officials that he’d been overseas visiting relatives, according to the court filing.
“I wanted to do the right thing … to defend the Syrian people,” al-Jayab told U.S. District Judge Sarah Ellis Wednesday in broken English. He acknowledged, however, that he knew the group he was joining was engaged in terrorist activities and that he tried to hide his involvement when he returned….
According to the charges, al-Jayab was born in Palestine and spent much of his childhood in Iraq before coming to the U.S. as a refugee in October 2012. While living in Arizona and Wisconsin, al-Jayab communicated on social media about his intention to go to Syria to fight for terrorist organizations, according a criminal complaint filed in Sacramento, Calif.

Sinead O’Connor announced she had converted to Islam late last month, posting images of herself wearing a hijab and a video of her reciting the call to prayer.
On Tuesday she tweeted: “I’m terribly sorry. What I’m about to say is something so racist I never thought my soul could ever feel it. “But truly I never wanna spend time with white people again (if that’s what non-muslims are called). Not for one moment, for any reason. They are disgusting.”

In Florida You Can’t Fix Stupid
Miami-Dade briefly ran out of ballots Sunday for some voters at its North Miami location, as malfunctioning printers upended logistics there during the final day of early voting and had people reporting wait times topping three hours.
As the sun set on the 14th day of early voting in the largely black neighborhood, more than 200 voters were in a line that snaked around half a block outside the North Miami library. “I would have stayed in line eight hours if I had to,” Joas Laurent, 37, said as he walked out of the library at 7:20 p.m., about three hours after he said he arrived.
The printers used to generate customized ballots for a voter’s precinct failed early in the afternoon, and poll workers eventually had to turn to pre-printed ballots to let people vote, said Christina White, the county’s elections supervisor. When those ran out for two of the surrounding precincts, the county had to rush in replacements from nearby polling places. She said it’s the only time she can recall Miami-Dade running out of ballots at a voting site.
On This Sad Day In US History
On this day in 2009, 13 people are killed and more than 30 others are wounded, nearly all of them unarmed soldiers, when a U.S. Army officer goes on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood in central Texas. The deadly assault, carried out by Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, was the worst mass murder at a U.S. military installation.
Early in the afternoon of November 5, 39-year-old Hasan, armed with a semi-automatic pistol, shouted “Allahu Akbar” (Arabic for “God is great”) and then opened fire at a crowd inside a Fort Hood processing center where soldiers who were about to be deployed overseas or were returning from deployment received medical screenings. The massacre, which left 12 service members and one Department of Defense employee dead, lasted approximately 10 minutes before Hasan was shot by civilian police and taken into custody.
The Virginia-born Hasan, the son of Palestinian immigrants who ran a Roanoke restaurant and convenience store, graduated from Virginia Tech University and completed his psychiatry training at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2003. He went on to work at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C., treating soldiers returning from war with post-traumatic stress disorder. In May 2009, he was promoted to the rank of major in the Army, and that July, was transferred to Fort Hood. Located near the city of Killeen, Fort Hood, which includes 340 square miles of facilities and homes, is the largest active-duty U.S. military post. In the aftermath of the massacre, reviews by the Pentagon and a U.S. Senate panel found Hasan’s superiors had continued to promote him despite the fact that concerns had been raised over his behavior, which suggested he had become a radical and potentially violent Islamic extremist. Among other things, Hasan stated publicly that America’s war on terrorism was really a war against Islam.

Occasional-Cortex Strikes Again
New York Democratic candidate Alexandria Occasional-Cortex has sent out a bizarre email demanding Democrats push back against Republicans and Trump, who she referred to as “cold-hearted monsters.”
The very lengthy email promised that she would protect voters from “white supremacist forces” that she claims are terrorizing Americans. It says:
“…we can defeat the brutal white supremacist forces of anti-Semitism, anti-immigrant nativism, and racism. We can hold accountable the cold-hearted monsters who have repeatedly attacked our health care.”
“We can send a message to the bigots and billionaires that this country belongs to all of us. We can win if we show up on November 6. We must end Republican control of Congress and begin to reclaim our nation,”
Later, she argued it’s time to push back against white supremacists, bigots, and Islamophobes. saying:
“Our chance to push back against white supremacist forces across our nation, against the xenophobes who are militarizing the border, against the bigots who seek to erase our transgender families, against the apologists for sexual assault and the Islamophobes who sow hate to divide us.”

Worthy of Our Pity
So she had roughly 55 years of adult experience and found nothing in those many years to believe strongly in enough to have her voice heard? My personal belief is that the Never Trumpers are not necessarily against Trump (although the believe they are) but rather they are longing for acceptance. They will be whatever the hive would have them be, if only the hive would accept them. They deserve our pity.
A Dated Poll Defines the Mindset
A very good read on the immigration problem can be found at the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) The article discusses the idea that there are many folk that believe the southwest US does not belong to America, but rather it was improperly taken and should be returned to Mexico. Excerpt below:
A June 2002 Zogby poll of Mexicans found that a substantial majority of Mexican citizens believe that southwestern America is rightfully the territory of Mexico and that Mexicans do not need the permission of the U.S. to enter. The poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agree with the statement, “The territory of the United States’ southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico.” Zogby said 28 percent disagreed, while another 14 percent said they weren’t sure.
The more radical of these shout: “Go back to Boston! Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You are old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you. Leave like beaten rats. Texas law enforcement officials have arrested four women for allegedly targeting elderly voters in the 2016 elections in a “voter fraud ring” that was funded by a Democratic Party leader.
Indicted were Leticia Sanchez, 57, Leticia Sanchez Tepichin, 39, Maria Solis, 40, and Laura Parra, 24, on a cumulative 30 felony counts of voter fraud.
They conducted the scheme when applications for mail ballot were generated in targeted precincts. When ballots were mailed out by election offices, the group intercepted the ballots or ‘assisted’ elderly voters to ensure votes were cast for the democrat. In most cases, the voters didn’t even know their votes have been stolen.

The European Court of Human Rights has upheld the conviction of an Austrian lecturer who suggested that the founder of Islam, Prophet Mohammed was “a pedophile” for marrying a 6-year-old child.
he 47-year-old woman was previously convicted by an Austrian judge for hate crimes for discussing an Islamic scripture that described the 56-year-old prophet marrying a young girl and consummating the marriage when she was 9-years-old.

I Had Hoped it Would Break the Other Way
Cesar Altier Sayoc, 56, was taken into custody on Friday morning in Plantation, Florida in connection with the 14 suspicious packages that have been discovered this week. He has other prior convictions on felony charges including grand theft and drug possession with intent to distribute, but has never served prison time. Perhaps an earlier ‘intervention’ in his troubled life would have prevented this.
Sayoc was tied to the bomb spree through a fingerprint. FBI Director Chris Wray said that investigators recovered DNA from two other packages, which they linked to a sample taken from Sayoc in one of his many prior arrests.
Sayoc was convicted of a threat to ‘throw, place, project or discharge any destructive device’ in 2002 in Dade County, Florida, after he threatened to blow up a utility company over a customer service complaint.
Her Own Dog-Whistle
Waters primer on how the opposition party should respond to losing an election: “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd,” she said. “And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
Those unhinged remarks got plenty of airtime, and earned Waters the rebuke of Democratic congressional leaders. But it wasn’t the most inane thing she said. Apparently urging mobs to gather outside Republicans’ homes at night, she added, “We’re saying, ‘No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!’” If it occurred to any listener that forced sleep deprivation is a war crime, Waters wasn’t worried: “God is on our side,” she assured the crowd.

After apologizing for her own white/Jewish/female privilege last week, the joke that is Chelsea Handler now attacks the GOP for their “white Christian male spite”. I guess that she has self nominated herself as the moral compass of the nation. Her critique rails against all things I, in my obviously misguided state, have cheered. She’s obviously fighting her own demons. I wish her well, but not success. She says:

It seems that everything is racist today. The ultra-liberal group, PETA, now claims that milk is racist. Is it because it exercises white privilege? Actually, according to PETA, it is. They claim that Europeans are able to digest milk better than people from Africa or other non-European countries. But if milk is banned, it will put a lot of black and brown cows out of work. Isn’t that racist?

March for Our Lives co-founder David Hogg said politicians should have addressed the problem of school shootings “centuries ago.”
“We have to develop this courage when our political leaders refuse to have it,” Hogg said. “When politicians say now is not the time to talk about this, they’re right. The time to talk about this was decades and centuries ago when we should have ended the violence.”
Hogg gave a profanity-laced interview in March, attacking Republicans and the National Rifle Association. Saying: “They’re pathetic fuckers that want to keep killing our children,” Never mind that Hogg has no children, he continued with: “They could have blood from children splattered all over their faces and they wouldn’t take action, because they all still see those dollar signs.”
Obviously he is not the adult in the room, saying: “our parents don’t know how to use a fucking democracy, so we have to.”
Hogg’s mother earlier said that he decided to postpone college to work on the midterm elections. That’s not quite so, the persistent memory that is the internet writes history differently as seen in this article at the Free Beacon. Hogg also recently attacked Nancy Pelosi because she is old. Saying: “Older Democrats just won’t move the f—k off the plate and let us take control. Nancy Pelosi is old,”

Adam Schiff lit into Congressman Tom MacArthur over some words he had for his Korean-American opponent. Schiff fired one of those ‘thou art racist’ cheep shots at MacArthur. Only one small problem; MacArthur is the adoptive father of two South Korean girls.
MacArthur’s response: “Adam Schiff thinks he’ll get power by stoking fear, division and anger in this country,” MacArthur told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “His absurd and false tweet that I made a racist comment about my Korean-American opponent overlooks one sort of obvious and for him, rather inconvenient, truth. I’m the father of two children whom Debbie and I adopted from South Korea as babies. I am now the proud ‘Papa’ of my first Korean-American granddaughter.”

Buying Votes Ahead of 2020
American families making less than $100,000 a year could be eligible for a monthly tax credit of up to $500, or $6,000 a year, under new legislation announced Thursday by Democratic U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California.
Individuals making less than $50,000 would be eligible for up to $250 a month, $3,000 a year.
“Americans are working harder than ever but stagnant wages mean they can’t keep up with cost of living increases,” Harris, a likely presidential candidate in 2020, said in a statement.
Harris’ office cited a 2017 survey from the website Bankrate.com that found more than half of Americans cannot afford a $500 unexpected expense, such as a rent increase, medical bill or child care.
