That isn’t the only reason why illegals are welcomed by both parties. Another reason is that illegals come from countries where gun rights are non existent, and government oppression against the populace has always been the rule. They are already programmed to be be compliant, rather than protesting the government and will easily go along with legislation taking even more.
At least that is what I think and I doubt I am alone with those thoughts.
You make a good point. In years past we allowed no more immigration than could reasonably be assimilated into our society. Those that had previously submitted to the tyranny “unlearned” that fault and became a part of our society. Now, because so many of them are here illegally, they never assimilate. My heart goes out to these folks, but they have to get back in line: for their own good and ours.
