Most of the problems we have in this nation flow from the same root cause. vanity. What other mindset could cause the walls and halls of our ‘servants’ to be so ornately adorned.

Buildings with grand halls filled with granite and furnished with bronze statuary of the noble and elect.

I’ve heard all of the arguments that suggest that these spaces represent our proud nation and they should inspire all who view them to great and noble deeds. Bullshit.

These are the trappings of power, physical manifestations of the belief by our betters that they are worthy of such exaltation.

As a nation we’re going to pay a heavy price for allowing our elected leaders to become so vainglorious. In these ‘hallowed halls’ the distinction between R and D fades to grey. No rational policy or practice flows from from a political body so self-aggrandizing.

That’s my rant. Forget that I brought it up and have another round of Soma on the house.

Our wannabe masters over at the UN and their loyal followers in the press are continuing their hyperbolic push and outright falsehoods with the hot/dry/wet/cold (depending on the day) crisis.

Even I have to admit that at 143 degrees something is afoot. I surfed over to the article and sure enough the words seemed to indicate that the world was certainly ending. . . toppled by mans inhumane treatment of the skies.

A quick check online showed that 62C was indeed 143F. I almost moved on and then I glanced at the words in the article:

WTF? If the weather has gone to shit then why must the reporting be deceptive? If it was a real problem then a simple reporting of the facts would have more impact (albeit not a ‘sky falling in’ type impact) than an obvious falsehood.

With a press like this no wonder every attempt at implementing AI in the newsrooms has failed; the AI is trying it’s damnedest to mime the deceit it’s found, but it’s just not that adept at lying outright. . . yet.

I’m not a very sharp guy, but it seems to me that heat builds during the day. How was it possible for the high temp (42C ) and outlandish heat index (62.3C) to occur at 10 in the morning? The 143 F number (62.3 C) comes from a temp of 107 F and 52 percent humidity. You’ll get the same number (143F and 62.3C) at 100 degrees F and 70 percent humidity.

Given that Rio sits in the tropics (heat) and smack dab on the Atlantic coast (humidity) numbers like these shouldn’t be all that uncommon (although I guess they must be or we would have heard about it before). So then, if like the article points out that it was ‘recorded in western Rio’, what was it like in the rest of Rio, or is that classified?

If I understand this right he’s saying the only way to stop Russia from going to war with NATO is to have NATO go to war with Russia.

I’m thinking that he needs more surgery.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said there was no break in the chain of command when he was hospitalized in January. He admitted to the House panel on Thursday it was actually his aides who made a decision to transfer his authorities to his deputy. He then blamed those same aides for not telling for not telling the president about his hospitalization.

Trust me on this one folks, if decisions are being made by the aids then there MUST have been a break in the chain of command.

Is there a more contemptible way to toss an aide under a bus than in front of a House oversight committee?  

OBTW, here is a question that begs to be asked: ‘Who is running the show in that great circus performing aside the Potomac?’  The aides?

The world is on fire,. It’s true but there is no reason to worry: Joe is focused like a laser on the most serious problem plaguing Americans. War, southern border, inflation, Taiwan, China, Ukraine, Global hot/wet/dry/cold, Russia, Russia, Russia? Nope, those are all distractions from the paramount challenge of our time: free enterprise.

When he finally vacates the adult daycare center that the White House has become they are going to find the handlers that put him up to this shit and whack their PP. Elder abuse is still a crime.

A couple of observations: Does anyone actually believe that Old Joe went to the store and purchased any snacks? How would he know the price? How does he know the servings are smaller, does the wait staff not place the chips and salsa in silver rimmed bowls? Given that we know he has no idea of the cost or the serving size, the anger he clearly claims to have in the little spot is just not so. We’ve become so accustomed to being lied to that we no longer notice when it’s happening, or if we do we brush it off as an insignificant event. It’s not. When you become accustomed to being lied to and you no longer care or pause to evaluate the crap that’s being sent our way, we give these bastards free rein. Weak people in powerful stations without a press or people to hold them accountable rarely ends well.

How any community can come to such a sorry condition is baffling. Y’all deserve this.

Where all the white folk?

There’s a reckoning coming. Sooner or later folk are going to clap back.

If these ladies would just enroll into a good school and learn sportsmanship and other civil methods they could live the good life. A good case study of this premise below:

Was looking over some of the news this morning and ran across the photo below. It’s taken from the Breitbart site.

Either some one decided to stage some soldiers behind the Governor (and in doing so made sure they would find it challenging to bring him under fire), or we have one of those inexplicable mathematical oddities where only 13 percent of the population is left handed and every soldier in the photo with a weapon appears to be left handed.

I’m going to go with it being staged. Not one of the soldier pictured appears to be happy with his circumstances. The quickest way to destroy morale is to prove to a soldier that you don’t trust him.

This azz spent his entire naval career as a mouthpiece for one PR element or another. When he retired he continued with the only job he knew how to do: twist words and placate inquiring minds.

Not to worry folks it was only traumatic brain injury and only to a few patriots.

Another indicator of the decline in the American conscience.

I wonder if this idiocy is effective? I don’t like much about the current admin and it’s overly woke brown nosed staffers and administrators. I do know that 50 percent of the time I can correctly identify when someone has pulled out a dog whistle and is playing me a tune.

I don’t care if your an R or D, this constant ripping at societies wounds serves no good end. Did the author at Breitbart expect the SecDef to go out looking for him? Do you know how utterly inept the Navy would appear if their mission success depended on having Austin available?

At this point I’m no long angry at Austin (whom I always presumed was a fool) but at Breitbart for playing me as one.

I’m pretty vigilant, but it’s only a matter of time before an errant click of the mouse closes the site and sends me scrambling to block access to my bank account. Not quite the same challenges our homo erectus forefathers faced, so guess I shouldn’t snivel quite so loudly.

Before reading the whacked out, all caps and exclamation points, rant below consider this oddity of the English language I ran across in forming the title. When, in the title of this post, I say ‘wound’ I mean to form the simple past tense form of the irregular verb ‘wind’. As in ‘to wind’ and not ‘the wind’. I’m not referring to a person that has a wound, but rather to a person that is wound.. Now that we’ve removed half of the confusion (letting to wind and the wind rest for awhile) lets see what this eloquent gentleman has to say.

We call this type of rant late stage BDS and while it feels so damn good to get it all out it garners few converts. So it goes.

I don’t know why I am particularly sensitive to ‘influence operations’ today. The article on Austin earlier today set me off and now this article via Yahoo has kept the ball rolling.

Let me put the bottom line up front so that you can get a feel for how outrageous the reporting is: The connector the charging cable was damaged. No clue to how or why, but one thing for certain those keen eyed reporters at the ‘cool down’ know that it has it roots in ‘hate’. Their side wants you to know that the other side (whomever that might be) hates your side.

It’s a sad sad nation that has people such as these embedded in offices responsible for prosecuting the very conduct they’re engaged in.

The acting by this bitch is so poor that I sympathize with the jury. I’m thinking that having to listen to this drivel would qualify as cruel and unusual punishment were the jury under some odd sentence.

And I guess that the jury will evaluate both of these two and determine who’s testimony is more truthful. I’m guessing Amber is gonna hope they have short memories:
