Trumpaganda
The University of Illinois-Champaign supplies us with an especially revealing illustration of the politicization of education. Beginning on October 22, the school will roll out its new journalism course:
The course description purports to explore “the Trump administration’s disinformation campaign” and “its ‘running war’ with the mainstream news media,” as well as “their implications for American democracy and a free press.”
Not to be undone, San Diego State University now offers a one-credit course which focuses on removing Trump from office.
Ole Miss Professor is Woke
A professor at the University of Mississippi has called on people to desecrate the meals of Republicans by “sticking” their hands in their food and stealing the rest of it because they don’t deserve “civility.”
“Don’t just interrupt a senator’s meal, y’all. Put your whole damn fingers in their salads. Take their apps and distribute them to the other diners. Bring boxes and take their food home with you on the way out. They don’t deserve your civility,” James Thomas, an Assistant Professor at Ole Miss, tweeted Oct. 6, the day Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court.
And That Boys and Girls is Why There is an America
237 Years Ago Today
Hopelessly trapped at Yorktown, Virginia, British General Lord Cornwallis surrenders 8,000 British soldiers and seamen to a larger Franco-American force, effectively bringing an end to the American Revolution.
On October 19, General Cornwallis surrendered 7,087 officers and men, 900 seamen, 144 cannons, 15 galleys, a frigate, and 30 transport ships. Pleading illness, he did not attend the surrender ceremony, but his second-in-command, General Charles O’Hara, carried Cornwallis’ sword to the American and French commanders. As the British and Hessian troops marched out to surrender, the British bands played the song “The World Turned Upside Down.”
Although the war persisted on the high seas and in other theaters, the Patriot victory at Yorktown effectively ended fighting in the American colonies. Peace negotiations began in 1782, and on September 3, 1783, the Treaty of Paris was signed, formally recognizing the United States as a free and independent nation after eight years of war.

Jimmy Carter Says
Former President Jimmy Carter didn’t mince words while discussing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during a visit to Emory University on Thursday.
The 39th president called Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the highest court in the land “a very serious mistake” while speaking to a civil rights class, The Emory Wheel reported.

Revolution’s Logic
Snipped from The American Mind. Another ‘buckle up’ warning. Full article here
‘Regardless of these elections’ outcome, however, this “resistance” has strengthened and accelerated the existing revolutionary spiral. We begin with a primer on such spirals, on the logic of mutual hate that drives them, and on their consequences; move to a general description of our evolution’s driving logic, describe the 2016 elections as the revolutionary spiral’s first turn and the “resistance” thereto as the second. Then we examine how the “resistance” affects the other side, and how this logic might drive our revolution’s subsequent turns.’
Third in Line to the Presidency
There is more at stake in the mid-terms than just control of the House. Can you imagine this airhead ascendng to the Presidency?
Foam Flecked Lips
A great read found at American Greatness, snippet below:
Since November 2016, when Donald Trump was elected president, the American Left has been engaged in one long crackup—a juvenile tantrum of epic proportions marked by hideous screams, rolling eyes, copious tears, foam-flecked lips, and flailing fists and feet that finally allows us to see them for what they really are: a giant 2-year-old in the midst of a frustrated, impotent meltdown.
Indeed, the entire leftist freak show has been on display throughout this remarkable period of American history. Physically, many of the tattooed, body-pierced, bewhiskered, rainbow-haired multitudes resemble something out of a Ray Bradbury novel: The Illustrated Man, perhaps, or Something Wicked This Way Comes. Others recall in aspect the pod people of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” or the mindless robots of “The Stepford Wives”; still others, well into midlife, ape the style and substance of aging Valley Girls, or the nonjudgmental stoop-shouldered, hollow-chested hipsters currently identifying as non-toxically masculine. Prizing witticism over wit, credentials over education, and facile point-scoring over genuine argument, they bring to mind, intellectually, the dissipated poets of the late Roman Empire, fiddling with strophes and meter while the barbarians crash through the gates and burn the place to the ground.
Gingrich’s Two Things
I think two words are going to define the night of the 2018 election in the next three weeks. One is ‘Kavanaugh’ and the other is ‘caravan’.
And the combination of anger over how the left smeared, engaged in character assassination, lied, used bullying tactics with Judge Kavanaugh is going to be one part of this; and the degree to which the left is eager to have 3,000 people in a caravan cross the American border, break American law, recognizing that if that happens, the next caravan will be bigger; and the next caravan after that will be even bigger.
And I think the American people are going to reject both the way they treated Kavanaugh and the way they are dealing with the border. And I think those will end up being the reasons the Republicans keep the House and dramatically increase the number of senators they have.

Dimming the Lights on the Clintons
From the Daily Beast: We’re three weeks out from the 2018 midterm election, and Hillary Clinton is popping up again like a Halloween ghoul who keeps rising from the grave to terrorize the American public; only this time accompanied by the increasingly #MeToo burdened uber-villain, Bubba.
The Clintons, it seems, can’t seem to call it quits, even if it means leaving members of their own party cringing and many more voters ready to “headdesk” themselves into a coma. Full story at The Daily Beast

Former VP ‘Plugs’ Biden holds a wide lead over the other communist candidates to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020. Honest broker CNN did the polling.
About a third of respondents named Biden as their choice to carry the banner in the next presidential election (33 percent), while Vermont Sen. Barnacles Sanders came in second with 13 percent of the respondents.
The Statists and The Donald
This may be one of the reasons that Democrats are literally loosing their minds with The Donald, he’s tearing down their many years of effort to force more and more government upon us and thus diminish the freedoms we are guaranteed. It’s as if the phrase ‘enumerated powers’ has no meaning to these people.

When you Cross the Trumpster
Trump intends to nominate three conservatives for vacancies on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (in California). This will support a long-held goal of re-balancing the appeals court, The 9th Circuit, based in San Francisco, has frustrated Trump by acting as a foil to some of his most controversial policies, including ruling against the travel ban and an effort to cut off federal funding for so-called sanctuary cities.
The forthcoming nominations sparked a fierce backlash from Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, and Harris (D-Calif.), a 2020 presidential contender and a member of the panel. They both whine that Trump didn’t consult with them before announcing the picks.
“I repeatedly told* the White House I wanted to reach an agreement on a package of 9th Circuit nominees,” Feinstein said in a statement. “The White House moved forward without consulting me, picking controversial candidates

Dem Who Said, ‘I Stand for the Flag, I Kneel at the Cross’ Forced to Resign as Local Party Exec
Mark Salvas has, reportedly been forced to resign his position as Democratic Party Executive Director in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania because of social media posts sympathetic to God, country, and an accused police officer.
A former Marine and Gulf War veteran, Salvas was just hired in September as executive director of the county party, long after he posted a picture of his wife and him on Facebook with the words, “I stand for the flag, I kneel at the cross.”

13th Saying in the Gospel of Thomas
Jesus said to his disciples, “Compare me to someone and tell me whom I am like.”
Simon Peter said to him, “You are like a righteous angel.”
Matthew said to him, “You are like a wise philosopher.”
Thomas said to him, “Master, my mouth is wholly incapable of saying whom you are like.”
Jesus said, “I am not your master. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out.” And he took him and withdrew and told him three things.
When Thomas returned to his companions, they asked him, “What did Jesus say to you?” Thomas said to them, “If I tell you one of the things which he told me, you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire will come out of the stones and burn you up.”

A few days ago I posted a video that discussed the merits of a pocket pistol over a ‘strapped on’ concealed carry. Each choice has its merits and each its own downside that are independent of the caliber of the weapon, including; accuracy, dependability, ease of use, ease of carry, capacity, etc.
But what is the best caliber?

Boston Globe Corrections
Correction Reads: Due to a math error, a story about Elizabeth Warren misstated the ancestry percentage of a potential 6th to 10th generation relative. The generational range based on the ancestor that the report identified suggests she’s between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American
In other words, as Breitbart’s Joel Pollak summarizes, this “falls within Warren’s reported range, and suggests she may be no more Native American than the average white American. Full Story at Breitbart
The DNA test also offers no proof that Warren is in any part Cherokee.
Virtue Signalling Scum
This from a University of Alabama Law Professor, MSNBC Contributor AND Obama appointed US Atty in Birmingham. She has 25 years of professional experience as a federal prosecutor
What’s missing from this is NBC’s later retraction of the report .
They issued a correction Sunday after reporting that President Trump described Gen. Robert E. Lee as “incredible,” acknowledging that the president was referring to Gen. Ulysses S. Grant.
Retractions reads: “An earlier tweet misidentified the general President Trump described as ‘incredible’ at a rally in Ohio,” said the network’s correction. “It was Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, not Gen. Robert E. Lee.”
Cynically, I suggest the Fake News crowd intentionally blasts out this blather, allows the twiterverse to rapidly distribute it, then quietly backtracks once it’s in the public domain–Mission Accomplished.

Damning by Faint Criticism (vice Praise)
In a brief interview with TMZ at Reagan National Airport, Sen. Graham was asked for his thoughts on a tweet Handler sent Thursday, in which she said Republicans likely “took a sick day today” because it was National Coming Out Day, an annual awareness day for LGBTQ members to celebrate coming out as gay. “Looking at you @LindseyGrahamSC,” Handler added, suggesting the senator planned to reveal he is gay to colleagues on the Hill.
“I don’t think about much about what she says at all,” Graham said of Handler’s tweet. “If she wants to live her life that way, it’s up to her.”
“A lot of people struggle with that issue, do you think she’s equating homosexuality with being evil?” the cameraman asked the lawmaker.
“She knows zero about me. To the extent that this matters, I’m not gay,” Graham replied. “These comments, they don’t reflect well on her. I don’t know how this makes us a better country. That’s up to her, not me.”
TMZ asked Graham if he thought making jokes about one’s sexuality was the “lowest kind of bar” in today’s culture. “Yeah, I just think we’re moving on from that,” Republican said as he made his way to his gate.
“Belittling people is not as fun as it used to be and that’s a good thing.”
