A Weak and Corrupt Party

Fox News is carrying a story on the House vote on a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, following recent comments by U.S. Rep Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. The measure has been delayed, as Democrats scramble to rewrite the motion to include all forms of prejudice and progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez come to the defense of their embattled colleague.

The declaration – which doesn’t mention Omar by name – was initially set to be introduced Wednesday. It was to set out the history of anti-Semitism and other bigotry in America and provide examples of anti-Jewish tropes about divided loyalties.

It was also supposed to say the House “rejects anti-Semitism as hateful expressions of intolerance that are contradictory to the values that define the people of the United States.” Full article here

Oh Noes: Occasional Cortex’s Chief of Staff Moved $885,000 in Campaign Contributions Off The Books

Fox News is running with the story abut the FEC complaint asserting that Chakrabarti established two PACs, the Brand New Congress PAC and Justice Democrats PAC, and then systematically transfered more than $885,000 in contributions received by those PACs to the Brand New Campaign LLC and the Brand New Congress LLC — companies that, unlike PACs, are exempt from reporting all of their significant expenditures. The PACs claimed the payments were for “strategic consulting.”

What Do They All Have In Common?

“When you look historically at socialist and communist states, what do they all have in common? The only way they can enforce equality is through a police state. … You can’t have equality without a police state or without a massive form of government coercion. That is what’s not being said. That is what’s not being taught. And that is what Americans need to understand.”

It Had Slipped Right By Me

I spent a little time this morning reading the ‘After Action Reports’ of knuckleheads testimony before what I thought was the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (OGR) . What I did not realize is that when the the Dem’s came back into power in the house, they changed the name, and apparently the scope of the committee. Below is an extract from Breitbart (full article here). What this means is that we now have a congressional committee with the charter to overlook/investigate/implement ‘reform’ in the country. I’m so naive, thought we are/were a free country.

I do take exception to the conclusion that the article’s author reaches (the scope of the committee authority being about Trump), this about as huge a power grab as any I could have imagined. The article reads:

And now it becomes crystal clear why Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the chair of the committee, renamed it last month. What was once the “Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (OGR)” is now the “Committee on Oversight and Reform (COR)” — i.e. no “government.” Cummings said the new name reflected the committee’s “true jurisdiction, which covers both government and the private sector.” By “private sector,” he meant “Trump.”

As 2020 Heats Up

Something to keep in mind as Oprah warms up for her endorsements. She has no problem screwing over those that trust her. If she will do it to those that know that she knows, how much greater the screwing to those that she does not.

Oh Nose; Democrat Raises Taxes and Fees

As seen at Breitbart: In a budget speech Wednesday that left voters reeling, Lamont, a telecommunications entrepreneur who campaigned as a businessman who knew how to reverse the state’s financial crisis, mapped out his plans to bring Connecticut back from the brink of near-bankruptcy – but none of them involved cutting spending.

In fact, the Democrat proposed increased spending as he also pushed for at least 53 electronic overhead toll gantries across what is the third smallest state in the United States – for all cars and trucks. In addition, Lamont called for expanded sales taxes on dozens of new items and services as well as new taxes on sugary drinks, a surcharge on plastic bags, and a $15 minimum wage.

American Flag ‘a Rag’

Meet Nebraska State Sen. Ernie Chambers (I-Omaha). Ernie likes to refer to the American flag as “a rag” and compares it to a swastika.

Chambers made the comments during a floor speech where he was criticizing a bill, LB 399, which would update civics requirements in the state’s schools to improve student literacy “in civics, history, economics, financial literacy, and geography.”

“I don’t come here for this rag every day, and it’s a rag. That’s all it is to me,” Chambers said, referring to the American flag. “When you show a way to persuade Jews to sanctify and worship the swastika, when you show me that I’ll come up here and stand while you all hypocritically pretend that rag is something that it definitely is not.”

Chambers represents parts of Omaha and has served in their senate since 1971. He’s been doing this same shit for 48 years.

A Revolution in Blue

I wonder how long it will be before AOC is stomped? She seems to think she is the new sheriff in Sodom town, and that the swamp will allow her to kidnap the direction the party takes. Careful AOC, the Clinton’s may still believe they are the leaders of this circus. Bad, bad things happen to those that chaff the Ugly Woman.

The Coming: An Ugly Future

The nation is edging toward what once would have been thought the impossible: socialism. In times past it would have been entirely possible to toss off bonds that this miserable social system brings with it, but I expect that technology has progressed to the point that the surveillance state will now have the means to identify and punish anyone that leaves the straight and narrow. A look at what is currently going on in China and how they are using technology to control their masses is a harbinger of things to come in America should the socialists succeed in gaining control. An ugly picture is forming.

Wow, What a Slap Down

What will be most instructive here is how the failed candidates act once they are culled. It was fun to watch when it happened to the RINO’s in the last go-round. I’m betting it will be an absolute blast as the Dim’s field first balloons (what say, 20 folk in the race?) and then gets necked down to the final contestant.
